The European Environment Foundation was created as a private foundation in 2011 in Basel, Switzerland. It's aim is to foster dialogue among all disciplines of environmental policy in European countries.
The foundation’s governing body is the Foundation Board which is comprised of two members. The Foundation Board decides in all matters that are of fundamental importance for the foundation and its development, overseeing its activities in terms of legality, expediency and efficiency.
