Economist by profesion with working experience for more than 15 years in marketing and promotion in the industry sector. From 1985 to 1997 I was living and working in Spain and co-founder of various Spanish environmental organizations – one of them the Fundación Global Nature España, a nationally wide active NGO. From 1997 until 2015 she was President of Fundación Global Nature and today I am still in the Board of Dirctors. From 1998 up to now I am the Managing Director of Lake Constance Foundation and coordinator of numerous EU-supported projects. Within others, I am specialized in sustainable tourism development, land use planning, sustainability management for local authorities, environmental management systems, management of water resources and business and biodiversity topics. Together with other environmentalist I founded Global Nature Fund (GNF) and the international Living Lakes Network in 1998. Since summer 2002 I am the President of GNF (honorary position). Author of numerous guidelines and reports focusing on environmental management systems, sustainable tourism development, management of lake areas or business and biodiversity - specially biodiversity in the food sector and in the tourism sector. In 2009, I received the German and international Tropheé de Femmes Award of the Yves Rocher Foundation and in 2011, I was awarded with the International Tropheé de Femmes Media Award. In 2010, the Goldene Bild der Frau Award was given for my work within the Living Lakes network and in June 2012 she was awarded with the Medal of Honour of Germany by German President Joachim Gauck (November 2012). Furthermore, in 2012 I received teh Bruno H. Schubert Prize. I am a passionated team worker and a lucky person, because of the usefullness of the projects in which I am engaged and the many inspiring persons I met and I meet during my work.
