Prof. Dr. Rafael Guarga

Rafael Guarga is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Uruguay and researcher at the Institute of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He graduated as industrial mechanical engineer at the University of Uruguay and holds a Master and a Ph.D. in Engineering of the University of Mexico. He was the 1st Director of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Environmental Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering after its creation in 1986. From 1992 till 1998 he had been dean of the Faculty of Engineering and from 1998 till 2006 he had worked as rector of the "Universidad de la Republica" Uruguay.
