DATA STORED IN YOUR BROWSER
When you visit this website, your browser installs a service worker. A service worker is a script of this website that your browser runs in the background. It stores copies of the following content of this website in the Cache Storage of your browser:
- the files needed to display this website: stylesheet, scripts, font, a placeholder graphic for images that cannot be loaded and a page that is shown when there is no internet connection
- the pages of this website that you open
- the images of this website that your browser loads
Videos, downloadable files such as PDF documents and content from other websites are not stored. The stored copies allow pages you have already opened to load faster and to be displayed without an internet connection.
The stored pages and files are deleted when your browser loads a new version of this website. Images are kept. When more than 60 images are stored, the oldest images are deleted.
In addition, this website stores one entry in the session storage (sessionStorage) of your browser once the font of this website has been loaded. The entry is named "fontsLoaded" and contains only the value "true". It allows further pages to show the font immediately. Your browser deletes this entry when you close the browser tab.
The stored copies and the entry remain on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to third parties. Storing them is technically necessary to provide the functions of this website described above. It is based on § 25 (2) no. 2 of the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) and does not require your consent.
You can delete the stored copies and the entry at any time by deleting the website data (site data) of www.european-environment-foundation.eu in the settings of your browser. This also removes the service worker. The website can be used in full without them.
