Silvia Hämmerle

Silvia Hämmerle is founder and chairwoman of the Life-Giving Forest eV. The association supports persons with disabilities in raising and sustainably utilizing a nearly-natural forest in the Philippines. Priority issues are inclusion of persons with disabilities, sustainable livelihoods and environmental education. Hämmerle is also manager of the Friends of the Earth District Stuttgart. In 2014 she was awarded the German, as well as the international Trophée des Femmes by the Yves Rocher Foundation.
