Nikola Nikolov, is a full Professor at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje where he also founded the Regional Fire Monitoring Center (RFMC), which he is leading. He is an expert in the field of forest fire protection and the Coordinator of the UN-ISDR Regional South East European/Caucasus Wildland Fire Network (since 2005). Nikolov is a recipient of the Green Star award for 2013 (award of the Green Cross International (GCI), the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the United Nations Environment Program(UNEP).
